In the period of September 9-14, a conference and a seminar of representatives of various specialized institutes of the Republic of Serbia and employees of the University on cooperation in the field of training were held at the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.

Among the Serbian colleagues are representatives of the universities of Belgrade and Nis, the administration of the city of Nis and the Nis administrative district, the Ministry of Defense, oil and gas companies HIP-Petrohemia and Gazprom-Neft.

On September 13, an Agreement on cooperation and development of relations in the field of education was signed between the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and the Department of Labor Protection of the University of Nish.

The agreement provides for the interaction of educational institutions in the field of training specialists in the field of emergency prevention and response, in the research field of fire safety, fire fighting, emergency prevention and response.

Within the the visit, there was held a seminar “A system of training personnel in the field of ensuring integrated security of the population”, during which representatives of the University acquainted Serbian colleagues with the directions and capabilities of the University in educational and scientific work and educational activities.

The St. Petersburg University of EMERCOM of Russia has been cooperating with the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center since 2014, when an agreement on cooperation in the field of education was signed in Nish, between St. Petersburg University, RSHC and Nish University, and a plan of joint activities was approved. In 2018, a cooperation agreement was concluded with the University of Belgrade.

These agreements are being successfully implemented - in 2019 alone, more than 40 Serbian specialists underwent retraining at the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia.
