Rescuers to the Serbian children
The Center continues to work with the younger generation by sharing its knowledge and experience through practical training. In particular, evacuation exercises were conducted in the school "Kosta Abrasevic" in Resnik (suburb of Belgrade). The event was organized by scout unit named after Major Dragutin Gavrilovic, the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center and a local unit of the Red Cross of Serbia.
The main issue was evacuation of pupils from school in case of emergency. Call - alarm! Children were leaving the building; teachers or scouts organized the movement on the stairs according to the plan. Under the scenario, several children were blocked on the second floor and rescuers evacuated them using climbing gear and ropes. At the same time, medical specialists of the Red Cross and volunteers-scouts were working with "victims" in school yard.
After that, there was a lesson on familiarizing school children with the fire and rescue equipment of RSHC, and practice with fire extinguishers.
All participants were satisfied with the training, organizators and most importantly pupils. For them, the learning process turned into an interesting and cognitive event!
