Firefighters of Raska

Participating in the security operation at international paragliding competition in Kopaonik area, RSHC leadership (Bojan Glamoclija and Viacheslav Vlasenko) used a chance to visit the fire and rescue unit of Raska.

The commander of local firefight department acquainted guests with the auto fleet which is used to combat fire. There are at the present time modern fire truck and 35 years old UAZ that still runs on mountain roads. The attention was attracted by a fire truck created by local craftsmen who mounted a water tank on the basis of an army all-terrain vehicle and received for the operational use from RSHC a high-pressure pump. That’s what initiative and responsibility for success in accomplishing a difficult task mean!

Previously, at the request of the Emergency Management Sector, this pump was transferred to one of Serbian units that fought against the fires and had already helped a lot in counteracting elements.

Representatives of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center and the rescue all-terrain vehicle “Niva” stays on duty on Kopaonik until August 19th, ensuring the safety of this international competition.
