Forest fire near Kladovo

Fires caused by abnormally high temperatures and minimum amount of precipitation started throughout Serbia. Local specialists are fighting with this natural disaster. Large forest areas in Kladovo region are on fire. There is additional problem there, because one of the high pressure pumps installed on all-terrain vehicle doesn’t work. The Emergency Management Sector requested assistance from RSHC. In shortest time, operational group was created (the rescuer Aleksandar Zinichenko and driver Sasa Stefanovic), the pump was load into the caravan and sent to Kladovo area.

Upon arrival in the shortest possible time at the area under fire, RSHC group assisted to local firefighters to install the equipment, assessed the situation and moved back, as the Center was actively preparing for MI-8 helicopter arrival from Russia which supposed to be the same evening.

Thus, the pump from RSHC was transferred for operational use to local specialists. And the fight against forest fire goes on.
