RSHC rescuers at the St. Peter and Paul patron day
After years of work in Serbia, Russians from the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center became acquainted and learned Serbian customs and traditions. The Center itself has become an integral part of Serbia and the region. Who won't admire the celebration of the patron day, which Serbs celebrated even under the Turkish occupation!
Employees of the Center were invited by the residents of town Zitoradja in Toplica district to celebrate together St. Peter and Paul's Day. Honorary duty to participate in the feast was given to the rescuers from the Centrospas unit. This is their first direct acquaintance with Serbian hospitality. They participated at the liturgy and cut the ritual bread.
At the end of the ceremony and "... for the fact that we are brothers - Serbs and Russians …", town inhabitants handed our rescuers a memorable letter of gratitude, which will take its place in the museum of the Center.
