Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center

Scouts are future assistants to firefighters-rescuers

The Center pays great attention to working with Serbian youth. A few days ago, a group of Serbian teenagers returned from Rostov-on-Don in Russia, where they studied theory and practice in the field camp, and from Monday the scouts from Major Dragutin's unit were trained at the RSHC. Scouts prepare themselves for work as volunteers of local firefighters. The theme of the courses is "Equipment used to extinguish forest fires". Young volunteers listened to the theoretical course and passed a brief practice on working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, motor pumps of different modifications, got skills unfolding and folding of sleeves, intake and supply of water from reservoirs.

The scouts took the challenges seriously and achieved some success.

But this is only an initial course and the leadership of the RSHC plans to continue training with the aim of getting scouts solid practical skills to work in practical conditions.

We wish the children success and endless enthusiasm in studying this difficult science - saving the victims and fighting fire!
