Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center

The Russian Emergency Rescuer's Day in RSHC

27th of December is a holiday for RSHC staff. It is the Russian Emergency Rescuer's Day. Guests from media-portal “Radio and Television of Serbia” leaded by Dragana Sotirovski visited the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center on this day. Bojan Glamoclija, Viacheslav Vlasenko and Nikita Potapov spoke to them about the Center activities and perspectives.

Viacheslav Vlasenko spoke about the history of the Humanitarian Center, difficulties and achievements. Bojan Glamoclija marked directions and perspectives of the Center development in Serbia and on Balkans. Special attention was paid to the training of Serbian specialists at RSHC basis in Nis and in Russia. The Center already organised training courses in Russia for almost 300 local firefighters and rescuers. Nikita Potapov shared his impressions about Serbia, he spoke about ongoing activities in a field of improving the skills of local professionals and students of specialised faculties in Nis and Belgrade.

The Center cooperates closely not only with professional institutions, but also with volunteer structures of the country. Representatives of Vojvodina Firefight Union came to RSHC and participated in a briefing during which a film about the Center was shown. Colleagues from Vojvodina got acquainted with the Emergency Management Center, warehouse and training ground “The Rescuer Path”.

It was a return visit. In early December, RSHC representatives were invited to Vojvodina for participation in the seminar “Firefight training for personnel”, where Russian professionals shared their experience from rescue operations in Russia and abroad.

To help to citizens in need is the common task of fire rescuers from Serbia and Russia. So the Center staff celebrated the Russian Emergency Rescuer's Day by improving cooperation between specialists of our countries.

We wish that there will be more training exercises and less real emergencies in 2017!
