RSHC and migrant crisis in Serbia
RSHC was the first from humanitarian institutions, which responded to the call for assistance in solving the migrant crisis in Serbia in August 2015. Following its basic principle – to help people in need - the Center from its own reserves provided tents to the migrant camps in Presevo and Kanjiza, sent dizel-generators, heaters and a lot of other stuff to the refugee point in Sid.
Minister of Labour A. Vulin spoke about complicate migrant situation in Europe on the conference about migrants, which took place at the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade on 15th of December. He declared that Serbia needs the assistance from the international community.
RSHC said about its readiness to help to the state authorities and to explore this issue in practice. The Center representatives met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Labour Nenad Ivanisevic on 23th of December. They agreed to continue the negotiations.
