RSHC in the training Camp at the Kopaonik
On the November 19th and 20th 2016 the rescuers of Centrospas, RSHC-staff, participated in organizing and conducting the training sessions at the request of Serbian Mountain Rescue Service (GSS), whose main goal is to train young members of the GSS - volunteers to join the ranks of this Serbian volunteer organization.
The employees of RSHC provided technical assistance to the organizers of the training course for the deployment and installation of the base camp in the field of mining conditions. For these purposes 2 tents with a capacity for up to 40 people were provided by the Center for temporary use.
The Training program included elements of physical training, tactical training, and acquaintance with the topography and radio traffic.
The new members practiced rescue skills and survival in the mountains under the instructor’s supervision. The particular attention was paid to providing assistance to victims in the difficult mountain routes, aerial ropeways, etc.
The collaboration in the Kapaonike was another step to strengthen practical cooperation between the GSS and RSHC.
