Teaching Serbian youth
During last week RSHC representatives Irog Petrov, Andrej Terehov and Andrej Niznikov together with the specialist from Russian-Serbian humanitarian demining unit held lectures for students from the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies. Topics were “Rescue Operations in Special Conditions (Sinai)” and “Humanitarian Demining on Balkans”. It is important to note that training of Serbian students is one of the Center main tasks. Lectures took place in the specialised class that was equipped by Russian EMERCOM. Rescuers Igor Petrov and Andrej Nuznikov spoke about their work during the operation in Egypt in November 2015. That time 224 passengers died in the crashed Russian airplane.
The specialist from Russian-Serbian humanitarian demining unit Viktor Didenko spoke to students about projects of humanitarian demining on the Serbian territory, financed by Russia since 2008.
Later RSHC representatives took part in a working meeting with the dean and professors of the Security Faculty of Belgrade University. They agreed about the topic of future lectures and dates. University management has determined the direction for educational lectures as “The Russian EMERCOM: organisation and structure” and ”Organisation and holding of search and rescue operations”.
Lectures in Nis University are planned for the following period.
It should be noted that three specialized classrooms have been transferred to the Universities of Belgrade and Nis, and the Academy of Criminalistic and Police Studies in 2014.
