Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center

Vladimir Puchkov about RSHC

Russian Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov had a meeting with the Hungarian Ministry of Interior Sandor Pinter. They discussed cooperation between emergency agencies of two countries, as well as activation of international cooperation.

During the working meeting the Minister said that the Russian Emergency Ministry has consistently developing the concept of “humanitarian centers” creation in former USSR states and in Eastern Europe countries, such as Russian-Serbian humanitarian center. The Minister proposed to consider different ways of cooperation using Center’s wide opportunities as example.

“…Another topic that we talked about was the coordination of international humanitarian operations. The Russian Ministry together with Serbian colleagues created a humanitarian center in Nis, which has been repeatedly involved in disaster reliefs. I am inviting Hungarian specialists to visit the Center and take part in its activities.” – said Vladimir Puchkov.

“…We propose to consider the following directions for possible cooperation with the Russian-Serbian humanitarian center: participation of the Center’s human and technical resources in emergency operations (floods, fires, humanitarian aid), also training of Hungarian rescue service specialists at the Center’s base…” – pointed the Minister.
